Candidates for Mayor of Hyrum agree that everything possible should be done to make businesses feel good about locating in the community. On KVNU’s Crosstalk show Monday, Stephanie Miller, who is now a member of the city council, said things are being done now.
“Every six months now we are doing a business breakfast and giving everyone an opportunity to tell us about what they do,” Miller said. “We have more than 200 businesses in Hyrum and one of the things I’ve been doing to help these businesses is every month in our city newsletter we’ve been spotlighting two of our businesses so that people can be educated on what there is locally.”
Pat Hansen and Cody Hugie said more could be done to bring new businesses in. Bryan Larsen, also a candidate, did not attend the debate.
