POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) – A Preston couple died and two others were injured in a three-vehicle crash in southeastern Idaho that was triggered by a fishtailing boat trailer.
The Idaho State Police say a Utah man was pulling a boat westbound on State Highway 34 in northeastern Caribou County just after 4:30 p.m. Sunday when the trailer fishtailed into the eastbound lane. A motorcycle carrying the Preston couple and then a small passenger car carrying a Wyoming couple and their infant child collided with the boat trailer.
The Idaho State Police say the people on the motorcycle – Troy and Jerusha Twiss, both 44 – died of injuries suffered in the collision.
Delbert and Stacia Suter of Bedford, Wyo., were treated at the hospital and released. Their baby was not injured.
