Wolverines top Peaches

PROVIDENCE – After shaking off some rust, the Providence Wolverines continued their win streak with a 12-5 win over Brigham City on Tuesday.

Kelton Conquist and Brad Singer each drove in three runs for the Wolverines, who used a five-run second inning to blow the game open.

Conquist’s 3-run home run put Providence up 6-1 in the second, and Singer’s 2-run shot in fifth capped the scoring after the Peaches had closed to within 7-5.

Providence picked up its fifth straight win, improving to 14-3 in Northern Utah League play this season, while Brigham fell to 5-12.

The Wolverines return to action on Thursday when they host Logan. Brigham City will host Hyrum on Wednesday. Both games are scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
