If you plan to run for Logan Mayor or for one of two council seats up for grabs you will soon be able to make it official. Logan City Recorder Teresa Harris says the filing period opens Monday, June 3 and continues through Friday, June 7 and you must file in her office at City Hall between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Harris says people can also find out more information before filing by visiting the city’s website.

“There is a candidate guide that is available on the Logan City website. It us under Elections. You can download that information,” Harris says. “It’s about 28 pages and it should answer any questions a candidate might have about voting, about the election and about qualifications to file for the office of mayor or council.”

Harris says, if necessary, a Primary election will be on August 13 and  the general election will be November 5. Early voting takes place for two weeks prior to both the Primary and the general election.
