One Little Starfish the theme for benefit dinner and auction

One Little Starfish is the theme for the 8th annual Blue Ribbon Dinner and Auction for the Child and Family Support Center on Friday, April 12, 2013.

<span class=”s1″>LOGAN – April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, the time for the Child and Family Support Center’s 8th Annual Blue Ribbon Benefit Dinner and Auction, Friday at the Coppermill Restaurant. </span>

<p class=”p2″><span class=”s1″>“Our theme is ‘One Little Starfish’ and that ties in with the starfish story about the little boy who was throwing starfish back into the ocean in order to make a difference for that one,” said the Center’s Executive Director Esterlee Molyneaux.</span>

<p class=”p2″><span class=”s1″>“At the Child and Family Support Center that is what we strive to do as well: make a difference for that one child or that one family within our community.”</span>

<p class=”p2″><span class=”s1″>The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a reception and a silent auction then dinner and a live auction plus entertainment and music.</span>

<p class=”p2″><span class=”s1″>Molyneaux said a few tickets remain ($45 a person) and can be reserved early Friday at 752-8880.</span>

<p class=”p2″><span class=”s1″>“Jared Parker is our auctioneer and he has been so great to donate his time and talents. He really gets the crowd going, engages a lot of people, and we have a great time.”</span>

<p class=”p2″><span class=”s1″>Other April events in support of the Child and Family Support Center include Friday, April 19, a cooking class at Kitchen Kneads; a barbecue at Sam’s Club on April 20 and the Center’s final event of the month, Saturday, April 27, the Utah Family Fun Run and Kids Art Festival in Wellsville featuring a 10K/5K/1 mile run and walk.</span>
