Proceeds from local business going to help manager who donated kidney

LOGAN— As part of a benefit fundraiser at Logan’s Beehive Grill, a generous portion of the day’s proceeds on Monday, April 8, will help to pay some of the expenses of General Manager Terri Hardman who a few days ago donated a kidney to her husband, Brandon.

Natasha Bodily, a friend of the couple and an employee at Beehive Grill, is helping organize the event.

“The entire day, 20 percent of the sales are going toward helping with their medical bills because Terri has no health benefits,” Bodily said. “Terri has been such a great boss and a great friend and mentor to all of us we all want to do what we can.”

She said several of the employees will contribute their tips from the day, as well.

“Brandon is a cancer survivor who was in need of a kidney and Terri was found to be a compatible donor,” Bodily said. “It is really uncommon for even family members to be matches, so extremely uncommon and miraculous that a couple would be a match.”

The Beehive Grill is located at 255 Main Street in Logan and will be open Monday 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
