LOGAN— The Bear River Health Department will have a new class starting soon called “Living Well with Chronic Conditions.” Heath Educator David Watkins said the class brings a lot of help for people living with such chronic diseases as arthritis or diabetes
On KVNU’s “For the People” show Tuesday, Watkins said people with chronic illness are often dealing with fatigue and frustration, but those who have taken the class have been helped.
“They reported better self-health, increased energy, they increased their aerobic activity, and they also decreased their fatigue,” Watkins said. “They had better communication with their physicians and caregivers, and they reported fewer hospitalizations. You can see the benefits of taking this workshop.”
Watkins said the class will be held Wednesdays from 7-9 p.m. starting on March 20 in the Bear River Health Department building located at 655 East 1500 North in Logan.
