What NOT to recycle

LOGAN - Glass, plastic bags, garbage, food waste, pizza boxes, clothing, syringes and needles, these are all things the Logan City Environmental Department is asking residents not to place in their blue recycle bins or in recycle dumpsters.

Placing items like these in recycle bins creates contamination and hazardous working conditions for those who sort the recycling. It can also complicate the recycling process and ruin some items that regularly could be recycled.

The Environmental Department is asking that people remember to only place recyclable items in their blue recycling containers. For any questions about what may or may not be properly recycled, contact the department by calling (435) 716-9755 or visit the Logan City Environmental Department website.
