TREMONTON — Box Elder County deputies are looking for a man who left his Elwood home to feed cows Sunday night and hasn’t returned. Sheriff’s officials say 63-year-old John Frederick Kilburn was reported missing by his wife Monday, the morning after he didn’t return from the job in Tremonton.

Authorities say Kilburn’s vehicle was found at his place of employment. Box Elder County Search and Rescue and Rocky Mountain Search dogs went looking for him Monday and Tuesday, but haven’t found him.

Chief Deptuy Kevin Potter, with the Box Elder County sheriff’s office told KVNU that authorities feel that they have conducted a thorough search of the area.  The case is now being turned over to detectives.

Officials say Kilburn is 5 feet 10 inches tall, about 175 pounds, with blue eyes and gray hair. Authorities say he has no teeth and doesn’t wear dentures. He was last seen wearing a dark Carhart jacket, jeans and boots.
