The Cache Rich Drug Task Force has had a busy start to the new year. Agents have made multiple drug raids and executed numerous search warrants over the the last two weeks resulting in the arrests of 13 adults, one juvenile and a child that was placed in protective custody.

The raids have also turned up thousands of dollars in cash, marijuana, methamphetamines, firearms, glass pipes, surveillance cameras and drug paraphernalia.

According to a Logan City Police press release, the raids occurred on Jan. 2, Jan. 3, Jan. 8, and Jan. 15, all in Logan City. The SWAT Team was used to execute the search warrant on Jan. 3 because the residence was a suspected location for marijuana distribution and it was suspected that there were several firearms in the home.

At this location, “copious amounts” of drug paraphernalia were located along with three rifles, one handgun (confirmed to be stolen), marijuana, a large amount of marijuana hash, and numerous medical marijuana products such as brownies, cookies, suckers and caramels. Six adults were taken into custody and transported to the Cache County Jail and booked on numerous drug-related charges at this one location alone.
