Bear River runs over Tooele 90-54

The Bear River versus Tooele basketball game was over two minutes into the game. The Bears jumped out to a 21-8 lead and cruised in a 90-54 win over the hapless Tooele Buffaloes.

It’s the first time the Bears scored 90 points since 2006 when they beat Bonneville 93-58. Bear River shot 14 of 18 from the free throw line and outscored Tooele 28-12 in the 2nd quarter.

Wade Miler led the team in scoring with 28 points; Garret Fronk had 13, Cody King and Austin Miller each scored 10 for the Bears who have won six of their last seven.

The Bears get to rest until next Wednesday when they start the second half of their region schedule and face Ben Lomond at 7 p.m.
