The Bear River Bears improved to 2-0 in region play with a 65-55 win over the Ogden Tigers Wednesday night. The Bears’ bench was a strong contributor in the win led by 6th man Landon Cornwell who scored nine points.
Leading the scoring overall for the Bears was, of course, Wade Miller with 23 points. Ogden has only won two games on the season but it did not show Wednesday. After being down 13 early in the third quarter the Tigers made a run of it and found themselves down by six by the middle of the fourth led my Spencer Smith who lit the Bears up for 35 points.
But that was as close as Ogden would get as the Bears would hit free throws the rest of the way. The Bears now face a tough region test against the Grantsville Cowboys on Friday night at 7 p.m.
