Fire restrictions throughout the state of Utah have been rolled back. All fire restrictions on BLM, state and unincorporated private lands have been rescinded. Areas within incorporated cities and towns may still have varying restrictions in place and it is best to check with local authorities about what may still be permissible.
According to Cache County Fire District Fire Marshall Jason Winn, campfires and other normally-permitted activities may resume, including target shooting. But Winn reminds Cache County residents that even though these restrictions have been removed, conditions are still dry in Cache County.
Officials urge everyone to be careful and responsible while having recreational fires or while target shooting.
Additionally, the Cache County Fire District will be opening the fall burn permit period on October 1 for a one month period. Anyone wishing to burn yard waste must call and obtain a burn permit from the Cache County Fire District.
