Braddy, Falk lead Grizzlies past Bountiful

BOUNTIFUL— After starting out a little slow, Logan scored 28 unanswered points for a 35-14 road win against a strong Bountiful team.

The Braves struck first jumping out to an early lead in the first quarter on a 14-yard pass from Jordan Hayes to Tanner Redding. The Grizzlies came back quick driving the field and tying the score up with a Jesse Braddy one yard run to end the first quarter.

The Braves took the lead again when Jakob Hunt scampered in for a 5-yard touchdown run. This was the last time Bountiful found the end zone, as Logan tightened up its defense.

The Grizzlies answered right back and once again drove the field to put themselves in striking distance when Luke Falk threw the first of three touchdown passes to Zack Rich from four yards out to once again tie the score heading into halftime.

On the night, Falk completed 32-of-46 passes for 329 yards to go along with the three touchdowns and one pick.

The second half was all Logan, thanks to two more touchdowns from Braddy. His first score of the quarter came on a 27-yard pass from Falk. Braddy also scored near the end of the quarter on another 1-yard run. Bountiful had no answer for Braddy as he scored his fourth and final touchdown in the fourth quarter on a 21-yard pass.

After setting a school record with 15 receptions a week ago, Braddy tied his mark against Bountiful with 15 more catches for 175 yards.

Logan’s defense stepped up to hold a Bountiful offense that had scored over 30 points in its first two games to only 14, and more importantly zero in the second half.

This is a huge win for Logan that moves to 2-1, and has scored over 30 points in each of its wins. The Grizzlies will look for their third win in a row next week as they host Spanish Fork next Thursday. The game was moved to Thursday due to the Utah State vs. Utah football game which will be played Friday night.
