Former Providence City councilman Trent Rasmussen succumbs to cancer

Former Providence City councilman Trent Rasmussen passed away early Tuesday morning after a 28 month battle with cancer. Rasmussen was a member of the Providence City Council from January 1, 2006 through June 1, 2008.

Rasmussen was diagnosed with Pleomorphic Spindle Cell Sarcoma and underwent seven different surgeries and multiple rounds of chemotherapy. <a target=”_blank” href=”http://lookingupandkneelingdown.blogspot.com/”>Rasmussen is survived by his wife and five children</a>. He was 39 years old.

A viewing for Rasmussen is scheduled Friday, August 24 at the Box Elder Stake Center from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again Saturday, August 25 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. and internment will be at the Brigham City Cemetery.
