Longboarders not allowed on Tony Grove Road

The Tony Grove Road, Forest Service Road #003 located on the Logan Ranger District, is closed to longboarding to prevent longboarders from interfering with traffic. Under the Code of Federal Regulations it states that it is prohibited to block, restrict or otherwise interfere with the use of a road, trail or gate.

This restriction is in place for safety purposes for both the longboarders and recreationists to prevent any type of accident from occurring on the Tony Grove Road which is one of the most heavily used forest roads on the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest.

Forest Service officials say violation of the prohibition is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000 for an individual or $10,000 for an organization and/or imprisonment for not more than six months.
