Western music star performs at Cache Valley Cowboy Rendezvous

She came early to enjoy some time in beautiful Cache Valley and Friday Juni Fisher will bring her western music to Sherwood Hills Resort in Wellsville Canyon. Her concert starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Outdoor Amphitheatre.

Her appearance is sponsored by the Cache Valley Cowboy Rendezvous and cowboy poet Waddie Mitchell has called Fisher the best thing to happen to western music in a very long time. Juni Fisher was the first female to be awarded the entertainer of the year award by the Western Music Association in 2011 and she has been named female performer of the yaer three times.

As for her biggest hit, Fisher says her first album “Tumblewood Letters” continues to be a great one for her.

“People use it sort of as an introduction to what I do,” Fisher explains. “My goal in starting out writing these songs was that when I started looking at Western music seriously I realized that there are not good songs for women, existing.”

Juni Fisher’s concert starts at 7:30 p.m.
