Jaycee Carroll – Spain/Real Madrid – Jaycee Carroll and Real Madrid finished 2nd place in Regular Season with 26-8 regular season record. Their first playoff game is May 18 versus Cajasol (ranked #7 at end of season; 18-16 overall). Jaycee finished the season averaging 22.6 mpg, 12.1 ppg, 54.7% FG, 40.4% 3point, 86% FT, 2.5 rpg, 1.1 apg, and 0.7 spg.
Spencer Nelson – Spain/Gran Canaria – Spencer’s season is now over. Gran Canaria struggled without Jaycee Carroll as they finished 14th in the league with a 13-21 record. Spencer averaged 22.1 mpg, 9.8 ppg, 53.9 FG%, 37.9% 3 point, 67.7% FT, 4.7 rpg, and 2.2 apg. I believe his contract was for only 1 year so who knows where or if he will be playing again for someone somewhere.
Curtis Bobb – Austria/Klosterneub – In the Austrian League Curtis Bobb is already in the Austrian FINALS. His team is already leading the series 1-0 over the #1 seed Gmuden. Klosterneub finished regular season at 21-9 and 2nd place. In qtr. finals they won 3-2 and the semi finals 3-1. Game 2 is set for, today May 16. Klosterneub won game 1 78-77. Bobb finished with 33 minutes, 3-4 from 2, 3-7 from 3, 2-2 FT, 6 boards, 2 assists, 2 steals, and finished with 17 points.
Gary Wilkinson – New Zealand/Breakers – Of course Gary Wilkinson and the New Zealand Breakers won back to back Australian league championships. So the season is over and I don’t know if he will be back again in New Zealand. Every article I read made it sound like management would like him back, but it would be very hard to sign him again. So I will keep an eye on that for next year.
Tai Wesley – Holland/Den Bosch Effiel Towers – Tai Wesley is also in the Dutch Finals. His team won the semifinal round 3-2 and now has a 1-0 lead in the finals with 81-79 game 1 victory. Tai played 24 minutes, 5-9 from 2, 2-5 FT, 5 boards, 3 assists, 2 steals and 12 points. Game 2 is set for May 17.
