A fundraising effort to help out Cache Valley veterans will be held Friday from 10 am to 3 pm at the Cache County Courthouse. The Marine Corps League Women’s Auxiliary unit 76 is heading the effort. This will benefit all branches of the armed services.
One of the organizers, Cindy Steller, says people all over the valley can become Marines for a day. She said Marines in the Dress Blues will be come get participants take them to the Cache County Courthouse where they will be fed lunch while raising money for the Wounded Warrior Project.
Bettye Ann Buiest, the President of Marine Corps League Women’s Auxiliary unit 76, says all the money raised will be kept in the valley. She said, “We do have a lot of military people here that need our help. So we’ve decided to set and establish a program here that is going to be an ongoing way for us to get some money for these people and to help them out.”
There will also be helmets at the courthouse where people can drop by donations. Fundraisers will be at the north and south Logan Wal-Marts where people can buy small red roses or make a donation.
