Multiple units respond to garage fire in Logan

A garage fire in Logan Wednesday afternoon is still under investigation.

Emergency personnel were notified of the fire around noon Wednesday. As crews arrived, they could hear sounds of explosions coming from the garage at 673 N. 100 West in Logan.

While the fire and explosions were mostly contained to the garage, there was some smoke damage done to the front living room.

According to eyewitness accounts, no one was home at the time of the fire. The homeowner did have two dogs in the home, however. Both were rescued without harm but one ran away as firefighters arrived on scene and took several hours to be located.

There were no injuries reported from the fire and firefighters have yet to release the cause or estimate of damages.
