For the first time in Northern Utah’s history, Logan will be home to the second largest independent film festival outside of the Salt Lake City metro area and the Sundance Film Festival. Gary Saxton, downtown manager for the Logan Downtown Alliance, says the Logan Film Festival is hosed by the city of Logan. Saxton says Logan is one of the few cities in Utah with a National Historic District with wonderful old buildings and mansions in a picturesque mountain valley surrounded by century-old farms, incredible mountain and valley scenery, which is all perfect for filming. This year the festival runs Friday and Saturday April 20 and 21 and one festival pass gets people entrance to 16 feature length films and two short film sets at three theaters. For more information call the Logan Film Festival at 752-2161 extension 4.
