Cache Democrats hosting county convention Saturday

Cache County Democrats are holding their county convention on Saturday, March 24 starting at 9 a.m. at the Logan High School Little Theater, 162 West 100 South in Logan. Party Chairman Vince Wickwar says the doors will open at 8 a.m. for candidates and caucus leaders to set up tables and displays and to meet delegates and the public. Wickwar says there will be short speeches from numerous state and national candidates, and information about upcoming events will be delivered. Wickwar says the convention will be followed by the Central Committee Meeting. On KVNU’s Crosstalk show Monday, Wickwar said everyone is invited to attend, not just Democrats. He says the party will be proud to introduce its local candidates: Barry Franklin, who is running for Cache County Council in Logan’s District One; Roger Donohoe, candidate for Utah legislature for District 3; Doug Thompson, candidate for Utah legislature for District 4; and, Al Snyder, candidate for Utah legislature for District 5.
