Several people filed for office Friday on the opening day of the filing period, and only one of them was a non-incumbent. That was Kathy Christiansen who filed for a seat on the Cache County School Board in District 6.
Two state lawmakers filed for re-election: Republicans Jack Draxler from District 3 and Curt Webb from District 5. State Senator Lyle Hillyard, also a Republican, filed for another four-year term.
Cache County Councilmember Kathy Robison filed for another term in Logan’s District 1. State School Board member Tami Pyfer also filed for a second term.
Two incumbent members of the Logan School Board, Ann Geary and Lynn Hobbs, also filed as did Cache County incumbent School Board Member Richard Knight.
The candidate filing period ends Thursday, March 15 at 5 p.m. in the Cache County Clerk’s Office.
