A brush fire near Clarkston Sunday afternoon was accidentally started by individuals shooting guns. At 3:53 p.m. Clarkston, Trenton and Cache County fire districts responded to the fire, just off Dirty Head Road five miles north of Clarkston. Winds of 10 to 15 miles per hour were spreading the flames, but responders were able to contain the fire to 16 acres. There were no buildings close enough to be threatened. Wet weather last summer and dry winter as spring starts have created good conditions for brush fires to spread quickly. Locals are being asked to take extra care.
