USU seeking participants for paid survey

A study about decision making is being done at Utah State University specifically for cigarette smokers and/or occasional alcohol drinkers. With the study the researchers are hoping to better understand decision making and people’s choices.”We are hoping to get as many people as possible for the study,” says Brady DeHart, a researcher who is helping conduct the study. “Our schedule is extremely flexible. We are available Monday – Saturday and we can make appointments anytime during the day.” Those who participate in the study will be paid for their time. The study usually takes anywhere from one hour to one hour and 15 minutes. If a person does the study they get paid $25 for the first hour and $5 for every 15 minutes after that.DeHart says the study is not difficult. People are just asked to come in and fill out a questionnaire. At this time they are just struggling to find enough participants. Because of the demographics of Logan, candidates for this study have been difficult to find. Anybody who is interested is welcome. This study is funded by the National Institute of Health. Anyone who is interested in participating can call 435-554-8839 or e-mail
