Winter Storm Watch issued for Northern Utah

The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a Winter Storm Watch which is in effect from Wednesday morning through Friday morning. Anywhere from four to eight inches of snow is possible in the Cache Valley with one to two feet of snow possible in the mountains.Three to six inches of snow are possible across the northern Wasatch Front valley floors and six to 12 inches on the benches. Locally higher amounts are possible, especially in the Weber and Davis County areas. Snow is expected to be heavy at times, especially Wednesday afternoon through Wednesday evening and into Thursday. Another period of moderate to heavy snow is possible Thursday evening into Friday morning. Snow will gradually diminish Friday morning.Snow may be accumulating on area roads during the Wednesday evening commute, including Interstate 15 north of Salt Lake City.
