Teen OK after his vehicle slides into river in Logan Canyon

A 16-year-old boy and his two younger brothers reported no injuries after their vehicle slid off the road in Logan Canyon and into the river Saturday.The North Logan teen was driving a Jeep Cherokee through Logan Canyon to a ski resort around 9 a.m. Feb. 25 when he hit a patch of snow and lost control of his vehicle. Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Nathan Wood said the car slid off the road near mile marker 476 where there is a 75-foot hill from the road to the river. The Jeep’s roof caved in and several windows were smashed. Wood said he believes the car is totaled. The teen and his two brothers, aged 12 and 13, were able to hitch a ride home.
