Things are moving along and Cache Community Food Pantry Director Matt Whittaker says if all the pledges and other commitments come in it may be possible to start building a new and larger food pantry sometime this spring. Whittaker says he is extremely grateful for the help coming in from the community. “The efforts of the Young Single Adults in the LDS Stake, both in the north and in the south, have done very well in bringing in money and bringing in attention to the project,” Whittaker says. “Other religions as well have done so much in bringing a lot to us. “This is really a community effort. There’s different religions, different businesses, different individuals all involved.” Meanwhile, Whittker says he has applied for grants and is doing everything possible to raise enough money for the much-needed building project.
