If you like hockey and want to support police and firefighters in Utah, this Saturday is your chance. The Guns ‘N Hoses benefit hockey tournament takes place at the Maverik Center. Tickets are $16 or $10 at the Maverik Center, usually costing $25 or $17, and will allow people to be able to watch up to three games with that ticket. It will be two Guns vs. Hoses games starting at 1 p.m. Then you get the privilege of watching the Utah Grizzlies play the Idaho Steelheads at 7 p.m. that night. Most of the officers and firemen will be from the Salt Lake area. However, a local Smithfield police officer, Adam Zitterkopf, will be playing in the event. Proceeds raised from the event will go to Shriner’s Hospital and will go to support the families of fallen police officers and firefighters, particularly those involved in the recent Ogden police tragedy. For ticket information contact Will Goldman at (801) 988-8031 or email@example.com.
