Benefits and drawbacks of cloud computing to be discussed at USU IT conference

Information professionals will be exploring the benefits and drawbacks of cloud computing, where vast amounts of information are stored online, when they gather at the 28th annual Information Technology Conference at Utah State University on February 8. The conference, hosted by Partners in Business at the Eccles Conference Center, will also explore a number of other trends in information technology and will also feature a speaker who will talk about Google Street View.Tom Bittman of Gartner Research will be the keynote speaker at the conference according to John D. Johnson, USU management information Systems department head. He says Bitton has years of experience in the IT industry and those who want to understand the latest developments will benefit greatly from his presentation.Bittman has served as Gartner’s lead analyst covering IBM and Microsoft.
