SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Utah Jazz officials are expecting a sellout for Friday’s home opener against Philadelphia. The game was 95 percent sold out before the holiday weekend and officials expect the remaining seats to go by midweek. Fans sometimes still are able to buy tickets to sold-out games if season ticket holders put their tickets up for sale on the team’s website. Teams across the country weren’t sure how the NBA lockout would affect the fan base but Jazz supporters have been positive. Jazz officials say fans were quick to buy single-game tickets when the lockout ended Dec. 9. More than 10,000 fans attended the free scrimmage Dec. 17, and about 700 fans showed up when the team unveiled an alternate jersey.
