The Cache Valley Center for the Arts regrets to announce that the national Broadway tour of CATS has been rescheduled to April 3 & 4, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. CATS was scheduled to perform two performances in the Ellen Eccles Theatre on Saturday, January 28, 2012 but has been forced to reschedule due to not filling other dates in the West in January. The CVCA Ticket Office is offering exchanges at no cost to current ticket holders through Thursday, December 15, 2011. On Friday, December 16 sales will be reopened to the general public. Patrons holding tickets should make their exchange before then, or call the ticket office to request a refund. Exchanges can be made online through your original email confirmation. For refunds, please call the CVCA Ticket Office at 435-752-0026 or stop by the CVCA Ticket Office located at 43 South Main Street in Logan, Utah.”It is with our deepest regret that we announce this unexpected change in our season,” said Wally Bloss executive director for the Cache Valley Center for the Arts. “The current economy has forced many presenters, agents, and producers to reevaluate how they schedule a tour and the costs affiliated with their routing in any particular area. The tour unfortunately had another location back out of their contract forcing an unplanned and expensive break in-between the two venues.”The Cache Valley Center for the Arts presents 10-12 touring artists and companies each season. Bloss said changes like this rarely happens but it is one of the many risks that presenters take on when booking high quality shows that may not otherwise come to Logan. Since the formation of CVCA, only one artist was forced to cancel. “There have been a few other performances that have had to change their performance dates, but usually something works out. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused,” said Bloss.CVCA is thrilled that the tour was able to squeeze dates in after their Winnipeg performance on April 1, 2012. The second half of the 2011-2012 season will continue in January with Celtic Nights – Journey of Hope on Tuesday, January 24 & Wednesday, January 25, 2012. Direct from Ireland, this show will feature the finest voices from the Celtic world. In February CVCA will presents the pride, passion, love, & sorrow of Spain with Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana on February 21 & 22, 2012. Live it up! at the Ellen Eccles Theatre by purchasing tickets online at www.EllenEcclesTheatre.org.Tickets for the Saturday, January 28, 2012 performances of CATS will be exchanged for the rescheduled date on a first-come first served basis. Please call the CVCA Ticket Office at 435-752-0026 for more information about ticketing and exchanges or visit the CVCA Ticket Office located at 43 South Main Street, in Downtown Logan, Utah during regular business hours.
