Jubilee of Trees celebrates health and raises money

“Celebrating Health in the Bear River Valley.” That’s the theme for the Bear River Valley Hospital Foundation Board’s annual “Jubilee of Trees” which opens on November 14 and continues through November 19.One of the planners, Shari Scott, says the festival is the centerpiece of the Bear River Valley at Christmas time and it features displays of uniquely adorned trees, wreaths and holiday gifts, each sponsored and decorated by residents of the Valley.Scott says the Jubilee of Trees will open Tuesday, November 15th with a kickoff dinner.”We give the community an opportunity to be first to view the trees that have been donated by individuals in our community,” Scott says. “We also have not only trees, but holiday wreaths and holiday centerpieces that individuals can bid on. It is a silent bid.”Scott says all of the proceeds from the Jubilee of Trees are donated back to the Bear River Valley Hospital Foundation and this year the money will go to help pay for a new state-of-the-art MRI machine.
