1100 West to permanently close at US-89/91 on November 23

Ogden– The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) advises Logan residents that, as part of the Tenth West Reconstruction Project, the access from 1100 West to US-89/91 will close permanently to all non-emergency traffic on Wednesday, November 23. This closure is to facilitate the use of a longer, wider acceleration lane from south-bound 1000 West (SR-252) to south-bound US-89/91. Local residents were informed of this closure during the environmental study and design of the Tenth West Reconstruction Project. The closure will improve motorist safety on 1100 West and US-89/91, and traffic flow from south-bound SR-252 to south-bound US-89/91. An emergency “crash gate” is being installed at 1100 West and US-89/91, and will be closed, locked and accessible only to emergency responders from November 23, forward. All residents of the 1100 West neighborhood should use 1800 South to 1000 West to access US-89/91 beginning November 23. Those with business in this neighborhood can access it via 1800 West. For more information about this closure, residents can call toll-free 888-427-8585, e-mail tenthwest@utah.gov, or visit http://www.udot.utah.gov/tenthwest.
