Logan Light and Power announces programs to save customers energy and money

Logan City has launched two new programs designed to help Logan Light and Power customers save energy and money. The first program is a refrigerator removal and recycling program.Logan City will collect second refrigerators and all freezers from Logan Light and Power customers home for free. Simply call Logan City at 716-9792 to sign up for this service.Emily Malik, environmental department conservation coordinator, says the second new program is an online energy efficiency report. Logan Light and Power customers can register at Loganutah.org./conservation.Malik says from there customers can track their historical electric use, compare electric use from year to year, see how their electric use compares to homes similar in size and track future energy savings. Also available, she says, are tips to hep residents learn how to reduce their electric use.
