Everyone is invited to party for the planet by attending the Stokes Nature Center’s 14th annual auction and dinner on Saturday, November 5 at the Coppermill Restaurant. The center’s director of operations, Ru Mahoney, says the big fundraiser includes a delicious dinner, silent and live auctions.”We have a great selection of items this year, a lot of return items but we also have a lot of new items this year that we’re very excited to promote,” Mahoney says. “The silent auctions primarily come from local, generous supporters and businesses but we do have some things coming from out of town as well. “We have some great signed books that are available this year, we have some trips and services and things like that.”Tickets are $50 and they are available at Cafe Ibis, Fuhriman’s Framing and Fine Art and the Stokes Nature Center by calling (435) 753-3239.Mahoney says the proceeds are to benefit the non-profit center’s mission to provide environmental education to students of all ages.
