They are one of People Magazine’s “Super Heroes Of the Year,” the group of bystanders who lifted a burning car off 21 year-old motorcyclist Brandon Wright on September 12, saving the USU student’s life.There is a four-page layout in the magazine’s November 7th edition and the group was referred to as “amazing men and women who showed that ordinary people can achieve the impossible–by taking the time to care.” Wright’s motorcycle burst into flames near Utah State University when it was struck by a black BMW that pined him underneath. The magazine says, “his predicament set in motion a heroic chain of events, captured on video, that brought a diverse group of Samaritans together to save a stranger’s life.”The group lifted the 4,000 pound car, puling the unconscious Wright from the wreck. He had numerous injuries but is expected to make a full recovery.
