LDS immigration and the Civil War topic of library lecture

Immigration patterns of Latter-day Saints during the Civil War is the topic for the Friends of Merrill-Cazier Library Fall Lecture Thursday, October 27 starting at 7 p.m. at the library, Room 101. The guest lecturer will be Brigham Young University Professor Fred E. Woods. The event comes during the beginning of activities that mark the 150th anniversary of the Civil War. The lecture will look at how the war was viewed by Mormons, both publicly and privately from both ends of the spectrum and how it influenced the lives of Latter-Day Saints both in the Utah Territory and outside during the period of 1861-65.
