Man runover by truck unloading at car lot

A man helping unload cars and trucks at a North Logan car lot was run over by one of the trucks coming off a car hauler semi trailer Tuesday evening. North Park Police Chief Kim Hawkes says Tracy Thompson, along with others, was at Deals on Wheels, 2055 North Main, when it happened. They were reportedly trying to get the emergency brake to release from the truck with help from a rope and chain. Hawkes says the brake popped free and the truck began to roll. The driver side door was open and caught Thompson, pulling him under the wheels. The police report states the truck ran over Thompson’s head and chest area and down the ramp. Hawkes says when emergency personnel responded, Thompson was communicating with them. He was transported by ambulance to Logan Regional Hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.
