Investigation is ongoing into the Logan Canyon crash last week that claimed the life of an Avon-Paradise area man.58-year old John Steve Cary, his 55-year old wife Gloria, and their 12-year old niece, were struck head-on when a northbound pickup truck crossed the center line and hit their car.Lt. Lee Perry of the Utah Highway Patrol says the situation is being reviewed by the county attorney to determine what charges will be filed.Perry says they’re still awaiting doctor’s reports as to why the driver of the truck, 63-year old Richard Nicholas of Tremonton, crossed the lane and whether it was due to a medication situation or if he fell asleep. Perry says they may never know the reason. He says at the very least a traffic violation will be issued.John Steve Cary passed away from his injuries Sunday. His wife and niece have been released from the hospital.CORRECTION: It was earlier reported the Carys were from Providence, that the niece was a granddaughter, and that Gloria had multiple broken bones and was still in the hospital.
