Like a lot of other local residents Denise Lindsay has gone with her friends to Gardner’s Village in South Jordan at Halloween time to attend the popular “Witch’s Night Out.” This year Lindsay, who works in the Cache County Treasurer’s office, decided Witch’s Night should come to Cache Valley. With the help of a lot of people and businesses, the Logan Downtown Witch Festival is set for Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m. on the Historic Cache County Courthouse grounds,179 North Main. Lindsay says the event is free, everyone is invited to come in costume, and there will be door prizes galore along with contests.”The best hat contest will be held at 7:30,” Lindsay explains. “At 8 o’clock will be the best cackle, at 8:30 will be the best broom and at 9 o’clock will be the best familiar. A familiar is, a witch has a friend like a cat or a frog, sometimes it’s a duck.”Lindsay says there will be live music, make-up, photography, hair styling and plenty of yummy food to buy, including pumpkin bowl soup, caramel apples, and cinnamon rolls.
