Cache GOP boss favors Romney and Cain

It was no disappointment for Cache County Republican Party Chairman Boyd Pugmire when Sarah Palin announced that she would not be running for President. Pugmire says he feels if she had run it could have split the Republican Party in the general election, allowing Obama to be re-elected. So who does Pugmire prefer? He’s a longtime supporter of Mitt Romney and right now he would really like to see a Mitt Romney-Herman Cain ticket. Pugmire says he really likes Cain and feels he is a great communicator and a great candidate. “And that’s why I’d like to see a Romney-Cain ticket,” Pugmire explains. “I think that’s a ticket that would have some strength and some power. “It would be a ticket that would represent a wide group of conservative and Republican voters.” Although Pugmire thinks a lot of New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, he feels he did the right thing by choosing not to run this time so he can honor his current commitments.
