hosted by the Cache County Domestic Violence Coalition as a kick-off to Domestic Violence Awareness month. Coalition member and planning coordinator Jolie Rasmussen of CAPSA says there will be a lot of fun activities including games, live music, drawings for free bicycles, and entertainment that includes magician Richard Hatch. She says there will also be a great deal of information on how to keep families safe. “We’ll have lots of booths there,” Rasmussen says. “There are a lot that come from the coalition. Some include the Family Institute, Logan City Police Department, the Child and Family Support Center, Bear River Head Start, Utah Legal Services. There’s also North Park Police Department and the Utah State University SAAVI office.” Rasmussen says her own organization, CAPSA, which is part of the coalition, has the important mission of helping victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
