Regional economic summit to be held Thursday

It’s theme is “What’s Goin’ Down Up North” and it’s the sixth annual summit to partner and showcase business and economic development activity in Cache, Rich, Box Elder, Franklin and Oneida counties.Logan Economic Development Director Kirk Jensen says it starts at 9 a.m. Thursday, September 29 and runs until 2 p.m. at the Utah State University Innovation Campus in North Logan. Jensen says the public’s invited and business owners, elected officials and Chamber of Commerce members are especially invited.”It’s an economic summit. We do it to showcase businesses in the area that are introducing new products or doing new things,” Jensen explained on KVNU’s Crosstalk show Monday. “We like to share resources that can help businesses, certain programs that they can take advantage of.
