Tuesday’s meeting of the Logan Municipal Council will have a strong focus on the future of downtown Logan. The meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. and there are four different public hearings that are focused on downtown.One is to consider a joint plan of the city and the Logan Downtown Alliance to encourage housing in downtown Logan. There is a public hearing to consider adoption of the Logan Housing plan and another to consider a proposed text amendment to the Town Center.Also, one public hearing will consider a proposed zone change from Public to Town Center to accommodate proposed mixed use development of retail and residential at the corner of Church Street and Federal Avenue. A total of 50 acres is involved.
