<strong>Logan extends win streak to 4, defeating Spanish Fork 48-28Bill Walter</strong>

DJ Nelson had 23 carries for 122 yards and three rushing touchdowns (each for one yard apiece) as Logan extended their win streak to 4 – 0 beating the Spanish Fork Dons 48 – 28 at Spanish Fork Friday night. John Schmidt had 10 carries for 63 yards and a nine yard rushing TD for the Grizz who start Region play next week hosting Bonneville.

<strong>Mustangs perform on all cylinders vs WeberJason Laursen</strong>

Mountain Crest came back showing their true blue and orange dominating Weber on all fronts, only giving up one score with a special teams fumble on a punt giving the ball to Weber on the one yard line. Weber was able to score a quick touchdown. But that was all she wrote for Weber with the final being MC 42 Weber 7. MC looks forward to their conference play opener with Sky View next week. That game can be heard on KOOL 103.9 and on KLGN 1390 AM/103.3 FM.

<strong>Quick start by Bears not enough, lose to Stansbury 37-13Patrick Fowler</strong>

The Bear River Bears got off to a good start vs the Stansbury Stallions scoring first with a touchdown Friday night. The score was 7-0 Bears. The Stansbury Stallions came back and scored 10 unanswered points in the second quarter. At halftime it was 10-7 Stallions over the Bears.Into the start of the third quarter the Stansbury Stallions scored a touchdown extending their lead on the Bears. The score was now 17-7 Stallions. In the middle of the 3rd Qtr the Bears showed some life scoring a touchdown but missed the extra point, making the score 17-13. But that’s as close as the Bears would get despite the great play of Taten Rose who went 7-12, with 107 yards. The final score was the Stansbury Stallions 37 the Bear River Bears 13.

<strong>Brighton beats Sky View 28-3</strong>

After a stellar performance in week three by the Bobcats, defeating Olympus 33-3, Sky View struggled mightily vs Brighton Friday night. Sky View spotted Brighton two early touchdowns in the first quarter and was never able to get into much of an offensive rhythm. Credit much of that to the Bengal defense. Sky View did score three points off of a field goal in the second quarter but it was the only scoring they would see all game. Brighton won its first game of the season 28-3 over Sky View.
