You can’t ask for a more perfect shooting technique. She came through the ball, had her knee over the ball, landing on her shooting foot. She ripped it. Everybody stood there because she ripped it so hard. Nobody moved, and I didn’t think she had that much time to get the shot of so she really worked hard to get that off. It was a quality strike,” USU head coach Heather Cairns. Both teams had their chances throughout the match. In the first half, the Aggies out-shot the Titans, 8-6. USU had its best chance of the first half in the 23rd minute when sophomore midfielder Jennifer Flynn struck a ball that was hauled in by CSF goalkeeper Lindsey Maricic. For the second-straight match, the Utah State defense was stellar. Pemberton took a deep pass from fellow sophomore midfielder Jennifer Flynn and wound up for a blast that stunned the fans at Chuck and Gloria Bell Soccer Field.”That was awesome, I didn’t want to run another eight minutes. I was so exhausted, I didn’t really remember it because it happened so fast. It went in after like 500 shots, finally I had one. Their back center was really good today. I was trying to go at them a lot, sometimes crossing it, switching the field, taking a shot or an early ball. So it worked well today; sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn’t,” Pemberton said.Utah State continues its season-long four-match homestand against former Western Athletic Conference school Rice on Thursday, Sept. 8 at 4 p.m. and border-rival Idaho State on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 1 p.m.Fans can follow USU soccer at and Utah State athletics at BY PERIOD 1st 2nd OT1 OT2 Total Cal State Fullerton 0 0 0 0 0 Utah State 0 0 0 1 1SHOTS BY PERIOD 1st 2nd OT1 OT2 Total Cal State Fullerton 6 4 3 0 13 Utah State 8 9 1 1 19SAVES BY PERIOD 1st 2nd OT1 OT2 Total Cal State Fullerton 2 3 0 0 5 Utah State 2 3 3 0 8CORNERS BY PERIOD 1st 2nd OT1 OT2 Total Cal State Fullerton 2 2 1 0 5Utah State 4 3 0 0 7FOULS BY PERIOD 1st 2nd OT1 OT2 Total Cal State Fullerton 4 5 1 0 10Utah State 3 7 1 0 11-USU-
