Recent disasters prompt reminders for emergency preparedness

With natural disasters back in the news Will Lusk, Emergency Manager for Logan City, says in our part of the country we should be prepared in case an emergency arises here. On KVNU’s For the People program on Monday, Lusk talked about what type of emergencies could happen here.”Probably the greatest catastrophic disaster we could face here in Cache Valley would certainly be an earthquake,” Lusk said. “The most devastating time of year for that would definitely be in the middle of winter when we have outside temperatures down around zero.”Lusk said everyone needs a personal plan for themselves and for their family. Know where to and how to get a hold of your loved ones, he encouraged, in a time of need. People should have a pre-designated place to meet and have an out-of-state contact for concerned family who live outside of the area.
