Work on US-89/91 in Box Elder, Wellsville Canyons, SR-30 near Logan next three days

Ogden– The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) advises motorists that maintenance work will be conducted on US-89/91 in Box Elder and Wellsville Canyons on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, as well as on SR-30 west of Logan on Thursday. During these three projects, crews will be spraying a seal-coat of asphalt on the road surface, first on US-89/91 between Mantua and Brigham City in Box Elder Canyon on Tuesday, August 30, and then between Sherwood Hills and Wellsville in Wellsville Canyon on Wednesday, August 31. Crews will work between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., with one lane of traffic closed at a time to conduct this work. Flaggers may be present to direct traffic. On Thursday, September 1, crews will conduct similar work on SR-30, between the Box Elder County line and 1400 West in Logan. During this work, crews will be working in the center of the road way, so lanes will be restricted in both directions, and on both sides of the work being accomplished. Flaggers may be present to direct traffic. Crews will also work on this project between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Motorists approaching these projects should reduce speed and move into the open lanes as soon as possible, being prepared to stop at any time. If flaggers are present, proceed as directed by them. Motorists with time-sensitive travel should consider alternate routes. — UDOT —
