Lawmakers endorse Logan resident’s map for school board boundaries

The Utah legislature’s re-districting committee has adopted a map proposed by an ordinary citizen. That citizen happens to be Robert Horning, a software designer from Logan. The map is for new state school board boundaries. Pleased that they adapted his map, Horning says he tried to keep counties and most school districts whole and not divide them. The Salt Lake Tribune says the committee did tweak his proposed boundaries along the Wasatch Front. Horning is one of 13 candidates running for three seats on the Logan Municipal Council.
